Why H.S.?
God: There’s one more thing you need to know. I don't want you to write your name as the author. It's not for privacy matters. It's to protect your pride issues. Do you understand what I'm saying?

H.S.: Yes, I do, Lord. You know me so well. The enemy would slip in slowly and make me feel proud and take all the credit for creating this devotion book. Thank you, Lord, for protecting me. I understand, but how do I sign it? Do I make up a name?

God: I don't want you to make up a name. I want you to sign it as “H.S.” This represents Humble Servant because that's what you are. I'm so pleased that you're being an obedient and humble servant as we go on this journey together.
H.S.: I love that!

God: H.S. also represents Holy Spirit!
H.S.: I love that even more, Lord! Yes! The Holy Spirit guides me. You're right! He's the actual author! Now I'm getting excited, Lord! You're amazing. This conversation started with a scared and nervous feeling, but you changed it into a positive one! I see a new and glorious adventure ahead. I’m not afraid anymore. How do you do that? Lord, you are so mighty, powerful, and love me! Thank you, Lord!
A Conversation About Pride
About H.S.
H.S. is passionate about helping people as evidenced by her many years of teaching Sunday School (from little ones through high school students), a well as facilitating many Bible study groups for women. Her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, family, and friends are most important to her. Those who have come to know here, would tell you she's honest and transparent with a little bit of sassiness mixed in. Since she was little, she has always been active and talkative, so it makes sense that God told her to share their intimate conversations. She prays that by reading these devotions, you will be encouraged to have your own conversations with God and reap the benefits of a personal relationship with him.

H.S. is not a pastor or theologian, just a fellow
Christian sharing her relationship with God.
